I found this funny {-: {-:

I am not really sure if I like Christmas or not. On the one hand, it's a magical time when you're a kid. Even now I love the lights and the carol singing and above all the fact that I'm on vacation  On the other hand, celebrating X-mas with relatives I hardly see during the year doesn't seem like a very amusing plan.

Do you have turkey for Christmas? I thought it was just an American tradition.

Hi Dixie.
I know that eat a good turkey is an America tradition. Although I think that meal is typical of Thanksgiving Day. What I don't know is if that tradition belongs exclusively to America. Well, anyway, at home we eat turkey sometimes in Christmas. Tonight we'll go to my fathers-in-law's home to devour a very fat one. Feathers included.
What is your favourite dinner in this holy night?

I don't have a favorite meal for Christmas Eve, and I don't like traditions either. Yesterday I went to my parents' and we just had some omelette, some pa amb tomàquet and cured ham, and that was all. The big meal is today, with all the family gathering and all. We don't have the typical sopa de galets or carn d'olla, we just don't have this tradition here. Where I am from, seafood is very typical, so my mom always prepares angler with shrimps (rap amb llagostins). Unfortunately, I, the weirdo, don't like seafood.

Bon nadal, Arnau :-D

Hi Dixie.
Well, I did refer to the traditions as a meeting with the family. No matter for me if baby Jesus was born or not. For me the most important is the family. The family ties. Friends as well. The past day 25th. we went to my Father-in-law's home for Christmas lunch. While my Mother-in-law was cooking I went to the kitchen and I started talking to her. During the conversation I embraced her and I kissed her. My two niece came in and embraced us, my wife, our two sons, the whole family came into the kitchen and embraced each other. It was a marvellous moment. My Mother-in-law started to cry for happiness. For me the best moment of the year. Looking everybody so happy. That's for me the Christmas time. Easy: That's my religion.
And now you can think my mother-in-law's kitchen is very wide.
Yes, it's very wide... well... We had to put the turkey off from the kitchen to come in.

That's so sweet. And it's awesome to have such a good relationship with the in-laws. You're so lucky :-)

Thank you so much.
Yes, frequently I've seen that relationship is not very good in other families. Many people speak about their in-laws very angry. Not in my case at all. When my wife and myself started our relationship was hard with my in-laws. We broke our relation during a time for that reason.
But right now we are a very united family. I suppose my in-laws was scared of me or something like that. I don't know. I never asked them why. Maybe was my face. If you take a look on my avatar you'll see I'm not so beautiful.

Sorry I'm a little joker.

ATTENTION!! "in-laws" referring to my wife's parents. Another word I have learned from you.

Thanks for your kindness.
