Postby steventungmale » Mon Dec 20, 2010 6:29 am

MARRY!! X'MAS!! everyone, i'm a student from Taiwan, i would like to know how others celebrate Christmas in their country. In my country, some schools will hold a night outing, but the scale is small. For me, i would like to go shopping with my family. How about you, how do you celebrate christmas ?? :?:

Hey Steven, I'm Eduardo from Brazil. Welcome to Latin forum.

At Christmas I just had a dinner with my family and went to the church. People use to give gifts to all family, but my family didn't do that because we don't have children (I think the act to give gifts is for childrens, but I don't care about adults who do that). How about you, do you celebrate Christmas in Taiwan? How do you do that?

Thanks for your reply Eduardo. In Taiwan, some parents is used to give gifts for there children. When i was still a child, my parents is used to buy me a gift in every christmas, and we always go out for having a christmas dinner. To me, christmas is a really warmly day, because i can get the gifts that i want and also the most important things is to get together with my family
How about you, what christmas to you is about?? :-)

Christmas has all that tradition you told, the gifts and all, but just for some families. In my case, we are a small family, so we don't have a big dinner or the gifts. Christmas means the birth of Jesus. Are there in Taiwan many christians? Is this the major religion there?
