They want to kill innocent people and this is what they do. There will be more violence after this crime on both sides. I think they want to show the world that the conflict still exist.

What the terrorists want?
I agree with Rafal: they want show worldwide their conflict against Russia. Under point of view of terrorists what they do is war, no terrorism. But the result is the death of innocents. In war the part more affected is always the civilians. The terrorism actions are made to hit the civilians and rarely the military forces. These actions of violence go against the most vulnerable of the society.

My friend's colleague was at the airoport at blast's moment. And it was absolutely ridicolous situation, when suspicious, non-russian man was crying that he wants to blast bomb. But police wasn't doing absolutely nothing to stop that. What cowardly men!!!
Police could stop terract several times if they went, of course.
