Hello,
Is the word "how're", seemingly short for how are, a valid contraction? If so, why is it that you rarely see it in writing(s) or in print? If not, why isn't it? If you ask me, it should follow the same ruling as "you're" which is short for you are.
I'm confused?!?!
Thank you for your time,
monarch

Re: Contraction help
As far as I can remember, there is no such thing as "How're" in a shorten of "How are"!

Re: Contraction help
The word "how're" you is not a proper contraction, but is commonly used as a slang combination of "how" and "are".
