Using Present Continuous

Post by togodoooom »

If a got a quastion like "How is the club mix coming along of "Greetings"? for example. I answered that "I am working on it. i think i have done before the middle of the apirl."
i used the present continuous for answer, BUT i was not working on this when i wrote this letter. it's right? Or i must use the present simple tense. Thank you very much!

What you wrote is correct. Eventhough you are not technically in the act of working on that activity, in gerneral, you are in the process of completing it. So the present continuous will work. I am working on getting a certification to teach Spanish. I am not doing my school work now, but in general, I am working towards that goal. I hope this helps!

Thanks for Alawton. Let me add the point that Present Continues can function as the activity we're going to do in NEAR Future
