Story writing

Recently, my English has been teaching all those stylistic devices(e.g.triplets) and strongly recommend us to apply them is our writing. I totally understand. But I've found difficulties in my story writing that the teacher pointed out I use too poetic and dramatic language. I wonder is it wrong, to try to develop my personal style?

chungkasin.. maybe you should try to read more articles, pamphlets, journals and a magazine also do.. then try to have a conversation to native english speakers and learn something from them. 5 new words a day.. :] hope that helps :]
