It's really not so important if your command of English is enough to get around.

Hi,,

I don't want to sound pessimistic, but this needs a lot of work and it is really unneccessary. As a learner myself, I know it is difficult to concentrate on one of them becuase we normally have professors from all over the world who have different accents, and we got a little of that and a little of the other and so on. However, I believe this could be achieved if you can go to the USA or UK to further your studies, work,..etc.

regards

Personally I like the American English. However into USA there are many accents, depending the geographical situation. What I'm sure is that English is marvellous and makes the world without linguistic frontiers.

It really depends on your level. There aren't many grammatical differences but there are differences in pronunciation, vocabulary, slang and expressions used.

One thing to say is that people from the UK understand the pronunciation and vocab of the US very well due to the number of films and TV shows coming from the US. I'm British myself and when I go to America I have to change my vocabulary and sometimes the way I pronunciation things to be understood.

This also goes for Australia and New Zealand. Don't worry too much about it though and enjoy your learning. As you progress the differences become very interesting to learn.

Both of them are the same, there is alittle difference in pronunciation of some words plus some vocabulary changes, However they are almost similiar.

I am addicted to USA English because of pronunciation but nevertheless i am listening TED and Luke podcasts. IMHO USA English is much easy in terms of pronunciation.
