Hello,
In Russian some of those words are plural (everybody) and some are singular(anybody, somebody) and so we use the appropriate conjugation.
So when I try to speak English I always stop and wonder how should I say 'Is there anybody ...?' or 'Are there anybody..?', 'Everybody was ...' or 'Everybody were ...'. Please, tell me this for sure :)
Thank you very much,
Dmitry
everybody, nobody, anybody, somebody are they plural or s?

Re: everybody, nobody, anybody, somebody are they plural or
They are singular.
Everybody is here.
Nobody is here.
Is anybody here?
Somebody is here.
It's impossible to use these in the plural.
