Use future tense or present tense?

Dear teacher,

Normally, what will people say? I mean which is more common or natural? Or is there any difference in the meaning or tone?

1. Sorry I am not available on Friday night.
2. Sorry I will not be available on Friday night.

Suppose today is Tuesday and Friday is a few days later.
