This 1997 chat is cool but I get disconnected every 5 minutes. It seems that it would be better to wait for the new chat approval.

ONCE AGAIN ABOUT RUSSIA

We all, children of the mother Earth, speak different languages. As well our mentality and demeanour are not the same. During the ages peoples tried to socialize all around the world, and achieved much, both positive and negative. What are the positive achievements? Here we have language education, foreign culture research, business connections, travelling and tourism, etc. Negative? Outer wars, interracial and religious conflicts, intolerance, labeling such as "all Americans [Russians/ Chinese/British] are..." Lets throw the trash out of the boat! Any individual, no matter what a race/nation/society he/she belongs to, has certain life experience, common sense and the only kind of freedom which is given for free - freedom of thought. As soon as most of us individuals get rid of prejudice, hatred and narrow mindedness golden age come. However, it doesn't look like it gonna happen in the near future.

Now, I'm not going to write an article on this subject before the research will be done. Also, I don't start the research. So I'm afraid that you will never have the opportunity to read my article. Lucky you!

And then, what is the point of this umm...lets call it a discourse?
Well, I'm just sharing my thoughts to you. During several years I attended language forums. Now I am getting used to chatting. Lets put aside that these kinds of activity may easily turn into an addiction - that is another story. My sincere and continuous interest is to watch how people of different cultures communicate to each other.
And especial part of my watch is my country people. I see now and then how many of you, my dear, beloved Russians (and others who's Russian is a second language), educated but non-confident, smart but afraid of making mistakes, feel uncomfortable due to silly labels. Really, we are not only about vodka and balalaika, we also have some other virtues.

Chapter Two. Virtues.

joke {-:

Now then, while being on forums or in chat, I can't help to get acquainted to as many of you compatriots as I can.
It must be usually idle talks, but there is always a hidden message we exchange by: "what's going on? what's wrong with us?" The point is that most of us have a hunch what is wrong with us. We just have no idea how long will it take to improve the situation. By the way, other nations may have their own disadvantages and inferiority complexes, have you ever think about it? {-;
Don't keep silence! Break the ice. Let's make the brands of Russia open mindedness, tolerance, hospitality and sense of humor. My congratulations to everyone who has read it up to the end!
