1. Thanks for being so gracious as to wanting to pass us the soft copy of the lecture that we had had last Friday.

2. Thanks for being so gracious as to want to pass us the soft copy of the lecture that we had had last Friday.


Are the above sentences grammatical and idiomatic? If so, is there any difference between them?

Only the second is grammatical...
