With or without "for"

Post by Nami Nami »

Dear teacher,

Which is correct?

(1) I will schedule the meeting for this Friday.
(2) I will schedule the meeting this Friday.

Suppose Friday is 16 Nov. What if I want to say:

a) I will schedule the meeting for 16 Nov. Should I use (1) or (2)?
b) The meeting will be conducted, say, next month; and I will do the "scheduling" of the meeting on 16 Nov, e.g. book the meeting room, check the attendees' availability, etc. What should I say?

Thanks.
