Hi English Teachers,
please help me check and let me know if this sentence is acceptable, thanks in advance.
In addition to eating a meal of Macdonald, I ate a meal of KFC yesterday evening.

I think that it depends on whether you ate there or bought the food to take out.

So maybe you could consider something like:

1. Besides eating at McDonald's, I also ate at KFC yesterday evening. ( = I ate at both places yesterday evening.) (It is not necessary to use the word "meal." For example, we would usually say, "I slept 8 hours last night." NOT: I slept 8 hours IN A BED last night.)

2. Besides buying a McDonald's hamburger to take out, I also bought some KFC chicken nuggets to take home yesterday evening.
