Being Glamorous: Is it good or bad?

Postby Vega » Mon Sep 20, 2010 7:34 pm

Following fashion of clothes&cosmetics (men/women), lifestyle, specific entertainment broadly advertised in magazines, TV, etc. are components of glamorous life and its ideology. People spend a lot of money on glamorous stuff, therefore, this is also called ideology of consumption.

 What is your attitude towards it? What kind of values do you think it conveys?

I was just born glamorous. And it was free, too!

In communism times people in USSR were told there will be a future when everything is "for free". The system, fortunately, collapsed from an economic crisis. :-)

If you look at the dictionary you will see that glamour means charming and sensuality.
It is very difficult to by this qualities.

A person that think to be glamour dressing in the latest fashion is a dreamer.

Only if you are glamour inside you can be it outside otherwise you are a mask and , as such, very simple to unmask.

I am glamour....and above all I am modest

I consider myself a glamorous person; it’s not only about clothing but attitude and that is a quality I had to learn to get throughout the years when I was growing up. On the other hand, we do not need to spend a lot of money on expensive stuffs, for example, clothes, shoes, make up, accessories, etc; just use or wear what you have correctly and that’s it. Oh, and remember, being glamorous is a matter of attitude.

This is my humble opinion.

it's a matter of individuals' preference. I admire a man who is charming or glamorous but, not vain or self-obsessed.
I have seen a guy who still use a baby powder on his face though he is a grown up guy already. This is not the meaning of being glamorous or charming to me.
