basic grammar question

Post by timwon »

Can someone help me out with this??? Which of the following sentences are grammatically correct? I don't know how many right answers there are :P

(A and B are nouns)

1. Pleasure results not from A, but from B.
2. Pleasure results not from A, but B.
3. Pleasure results from not A, but B

(also if there are any problems with comma usage, please tell me :D)

thankx!

#1 is correct and natural, although some natives would omit the comma.
