see + object + do/doing

Post by Rustamsher »

(a) We saw a bad accident happen at the factory. (seeing complete action; from beginning to end)
(b) We saw a bad accident happening at the factory. (seeing something happen in progress)

(1) Dear Alan, what I wrote in parentheses is correct. Would you please confirm?

(2) I'm not quite certain about this:

Does "We saw a bad accident happening at the factory" coincide with the sentence below?

"We saw a bad accident that was happening at the factory?

Many thanks.
