The Vancouver GEOS School is located in downtown Vancouver, and is surrounded by restaurants, banks and shopping malls, assuring the necessary services to meet every student’s needs. Our school offers educational counsellors and academic coordinators who monitor our students` progress and prepare social, sightseeing, and cultural activities, organize workshops on themes that vary from how to make a resume to apartment hunting simulations. The classrooms are spacious and the school has audiovisual resources, a lounge for students to relax, and free internet service as well as a wireless network in the school. It also has large windows with beautiful views of the city, and is just a few minutes from Stanley Park, Vancouver’s most famous sightseeing spot, and Robson Street, Vancouver’s best shopping area.

Vancouver city, with it’s combination of mild climate and beautiful scenery created by sea and mountains make Vancouver one of the most popular destinations for tourists from around the world. Every year Vancouver is voted one of the most liveable cities in the world. By car or bus, Vancouver is just 2 hours from Whistler/Blackcomb, North America’s best Ski/Snowboard resort, 3 hours from Seattle, and it is also possible to visit the Rocky Mountains for an extended weekend trip.

Full-Time CEP (24 hours/ week) / Intensive CEP (31 hours/ week). It is for those who want to receive intensive language training. Students study four English skills – reading, writing, speaking and listening in a communicative way through a system called Communicative Language Teaching. New grammar patterns are learned including listening tasks, role plays and discussion. Students will cover a variety of topics while practicing English conversation management, North American conversations style, and pronunciation. Students learn commonly used idioms and slang in a communicative way.

TOEFL iBT, is a program addressed to students who want to obtain international certificates to take college or University courses. We have classes starting throughout the year and GEOS language Academy Vancouver will ensure you are enrolled in the next exam or help you to enrol when you are ready.

TOEIC is a test of English for international communication. The test content focuses on business English. In fact TOEIC can be sat in our schools that are registered with TOEIC Canada.

TESOL this program is designed to give non-native English speakers an overview of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. The techniques you learn in class will help you in your future career as an English teacher in your home country.

TEC is for those that specifically want to teach English to children.

GEOS Study & Work Program gives students the opportunity to learn English and gain paid work experience in a real Canadian work environment. The English classes prepare and train students to get into the Work Program.

GEOS Business Internship Program gives students the opportunity to learn Business communication skills and gain work experience in the North American business environment. The English classes prepare and train students to get into the Work Program.
