Meaning: If you meet people from every walk of life, or from all walks of life, you meet different types of people from different levels of society.

For example:

  • We interviewed people from all walks of life, including doctors, taxi drivers, school teachers and unemployed people.

  • The music festival was designed to attract people from every walk of life, so there were rock bands and jazz bands, DJs and folk singers, and we even had a string quartet.
