very well

Meaning: You can say "very well" when you agree to do something.

For example:

  • Frank: "Could you come to the dentist with me?" Earnest: "Oh, very well. If you really want me to go with you, I'll go."

  • After I'd asked my sister to help out, she said, "Very well, I'll cook for your dinner party, but you'll owe me one after this."
