Meaning: 1) Sex between people is better than fighting between countries. 2) Peace is better than war.
Origin: American student slogan of the 1960s, then mainly used by those opposed to the American War in Vietnam. It subsequently featured in John Lennon's song Mind Games (1973); and has since been used by those opposed to the American War in Iraq and war in general.Variety: This is typically used in American English but may be used in other varieties of English too.
