Meaning: a stupid person, a stubborn fool

For example:

  • Nicky can be such a stubborn arse at times. He won't listen to anyone!

  • Stop being an ass, Robbo, and act like an adult for a change.

Note: "Arse" is British and Australian spelling, and "ass" is American and Canadian spelling.
