Meaning: drunk, drugged, under the influence of a mind-altering substance

For example:

  • By the time he left the wedding, Henri was loaded. He'd had quite a few drinks by then.

  • Jack was afraid his parents would know he was loaded because his eyes were red and his pupils were big.
