Meaning: to punish, injure, or kill someone (as revenge)

For example:

  • Our daughter told us that our son had stolen some money, and he said to her, "I'll get you for this!"

  • If anyone testifies against the mafia in court, they'll need police protection. Otherwise, the mafia will get them.
