Meaning: follower of a singer or a band who offers sexual favours

For example:

  • Back in the early days of rock music, meeting groupies was a normal part of a young musician's life.

  • Cheryl told us some funny stories about when she was a groupy in the 60's following British bands like the Rolling Stones.
