arsehole | asshole Taboo

Meaning: a selfish, unpleasant, obnoxious person

For example:

  • You shouldn't talk to Jack today. He's being an arsehole for some reason.

  • Tony used to be a nice guy, but since he got promoted he's turned into an asshole. He thinks he's better than the rest of us now.

Note: 1. "arsehole" is the spelling used more in British and Australian English, while "asshole" is used more in American English 2. also used as a slang term for the anus
