loony bin Offensive

Meaning: a hospital for mentally ill people

For example:

  • If you keep carrying on like a crazy person, you'll end up in a loony bin.

  • Joel got a job in a loony bin, and all he has to do is hang out with the patients and play games and watch movies and stuff.

Note: This word is not politically correct, so many people might find it offensive. A more politically correct term is "mental-care facility".
