Meaning: a dog

For example:

  • Have you seen that hairy little mutt George lives with? I can't tell which end is which until it walks!

  • I saw this professional dog walker on the street today. He must have had about twenty yapping mutts all pulling in different directions.

Note: This is not a flattering term, so you should only call someone's dog a "mutt" if you're deliberately trying to insult or upset them.
