Meaning: feelings coming from a person, a place or a thing

For example:

  • As soon as I went into the room I felt this bad vibe. I knew something was wrong.

  • Max says dogs pick up on the vibes that people give off and they know if someone's scared or angry or crazy or whatever.

Origin: Short for "vibrations", in the mystical sense of "subtle energies" that emanate from people or things.
