Meaning: to damage, to destroy

For example:

  • The band behaved like traditional rock stars and totally trashed one of their hotel rooms. They were charged about twenty thousand dollars for the repairs.

  • Gary got drunk again, and this time he trashed his car. Luckily no-one was hurt, but he'll be in jail for about six months. What an idiot!
