wanker Offensive

Meaning: an arrogant or pretentious person

For example:

  • Our new office manager is such a wanker. He walks around the office like a tinpot general inspecting his troops.

  • Kids who are smart and get good grades are sometimes called wankers by other kids who envy their ability.

Note: usually used to describe males
