1. I've been feeling much better since you've been here.
2. I am feeling much better since you've been here.
I know 1 is correct. What about 2 both in AE and BrE?

2 doesn't seem right in BrE, and I suspect not in AmE.

Swan mention that in a sentenve with since a perfect tense is used in the main clause.
