working in teams
Thanks for this key word. Ability of working in team is very valid. I think it should be really taught from the early childhood to have it later rooted in mind for ever.
I like your idea of turning a longer text into a comic
I think it can be very good exercise. Actually I am teaching one girl with whom I read "The Canterburry Ghost" simplified version chapter after chapter to teach her new vocabulary. She reads the text aloud, then we translate it together and solve exercises to each chapter. Besides I will try to make her draw a simple comics about what she remembered till now.
Still I think simplified versions of detective stories would be even better to practise new vocabulary that way.
Cause it is more action in them.
Present your comics here when you are ready, please.
It will be interesting to look at it and read it.
PS. Are the stories in comics done by your students built up by them or they are drawn on the basis of other stories?
How long did it take your students to write such comics? Did you help them? On what level are they cause these things have no grammar mistakes and vocabulary is also rich. and last but not least - what age are they?
Thanks for your answer:)
