Writing apprehension in computer ass. lang. learning

Hi, everybody.
I would like to gather your opinions on your own writing apprehension in learning another language especially English via computer. Does it increase the tension or the other way round. If so, why and how? Should we as language practitioners promote this kind of learning or do we stick to teacher, student-face to face method?
