hi
How much can homework contribute to learning language? (the case that students just have to fill blankes in their workbooks). i think it is just a mechanical excersise. if you have the same viewpoint let me know how we can take the best out of homework.

Hi Fathy,
Of course, for language learners, homework is sometimes boring and stressful as it is compilped with uncreative activity, filling gap and its genre. However, still school tasks, exersises are worth to practise. They serve as yardsticks to measure how much you understand the lesson, for example.
I agree, completing workbook is boring thing to do. So why not try to make it interesting by working on it with your peers, in pair or in group. Discuss the exersises with your friends and copy down. It might take time to do so, but I guess it is better than getting bored and give it up.
