Questions in English?

Hey,

One of my work colleagues just wrote an evaluation form and one of the questions he posted was:

'Have you any other comments on how the training could be improved?'

My colleague believes that his version is correct and I think it's not.
I believe that it should be:
'Do you have any other comments on how the training could be improved?'

OR

'Have you got any comments on how the training could be improved?'

English is my 2nd language, so I would like to ask the experts for their opinion.

Your colleague's question is correct. It is an older English construction which is not used very much these days, and is an exception to all those rules you learned! It is more commonly found in British English, and it sounds more formal to me. Both of your alternative questions are also correct. "Do you have any other comments..." would be the most common choice of the 3. :)

Yeah all 3 are alright. The first sentence follows a more bookish form of grammar that we don't really use these days anymore - but you cannot really mark it as wrong. With respect to previous poster, I would say number 2 would be the most appropriate for modern age written English.

I totally second arizona's and teffjones' answers. 'Have you any other comments...? is passe', you won't find it in any modern Grammar tutorial nowadays.
