EU Satellite System Will Monitor Earth’s Health

The European Union has launched the first satellite of a major satellite that will monitor the health of the earth. The multi-billion dollar “Copernicus” program could help the EU Space Agency move to the forefront of space research and . One of the main goals of the satellite system is to climate change. If the program goes as planned, all six satellites, named Sentinel 1 through 6, will be launched by 2019. Data will be used to predict and monitor natural disasters, such as earthquakes, and to make decisions about environmental , such as fishing.
