English Club Indonesia says:
Serena Williams is mentioned as she is a legendary women’s tennis player. At the age of 16, Bianca Andreescu playfully wrote herself a check, visualizing herself as the future Grand Slam winner. Remarkably, her dream materialized, and she made history by claiming the title despite not qualifying for the previous year’s tournament.
Many individuals envision themselves achieving great things in the future. However, mere visualization is insufficient without unwavering dedication and persistent effort.

Hi Tara,
First, thank you for this lesson. I could understand the subject hardly (without seeing the text) because some words are new for me.
Second, you have spoken clearly and slowly, but because of presenting the new subject, it’s obvious that I cannot understand it completely.
In addition, I could fill in the blanks all words except the words tennis and sporting.Second, it’s so interesting that an unknown Canadian teen beats tennis legend to win US open.
I myself think it’s because of self-esteem. I believe that everything is possible, if we believe in ourselves and work so hard for reaching to our goal.
Teacher Tara,
Thanks to you, dear Mr.Josef and the website for presenting this opportunity to the students who work hard for learning English language.Best wishes and have a nice weekend,

Haha, just after posting my comment, I noticed the name of “Nestor” … and I realized I forgot to mention Daniel Nestor’s name, another outstanding Canadian player! Oh boy, and let me stop here, because suddenly I realized I didn’t mention the brilliant young man, Dennis Shapovalov (around #30 in the world currently)! There surely are more!

Zakumi says:
Congrats, Tara, on the great achievement of your compatriot! It was about time that Canada claimed a Grand Slam as the country has such great players (apart from the current US Open champ, there are the brilliant Milos Raonic, Posposil, Eugenie Bouchard (what a pity she had that accident at the US Open some years back as she surely was a multiple Slam champion in the making), et al. You have good reason to feel proud!
