In order to improve English you can start listening to online English radio stations like BBC 4 or BBC 5 or BBC News. It's best to listen to the same program for a few times if you can't understand from the first time. Watching TV like CNN or BBC is also of great use.

BBC 5 is one of my favourite online radio stations now. I think it is much better from the point of learning English comparing to BBC News. There are a lot of talks on day-to-day situations. A lot of ordinary people calling the radio station and talking to presenters.

I think there would be no more scandals as there are only two countries that has had some problems with Russia recently. I mean Ukraine had a gas row and Georgia had a war. Seems like the other European countries coexist right now more or less peacefully with Russia.
