This is not lost to members of cults who tell their most attractive members to guide the curious into the next level of indoctrination. Hi, ...

OK, would you close your eyes? Now what I would like you to do is to softly, out loud, begin to count backwards from two hundred by threes. And as you do that, I'm going to put my hands on your shoulders and turn you around in circles. Hi, could anyone answer the questions as below? 1. out loud? Doe...

meta-position

Many people who do hypnosis and write about it talk about it as "persuasion," being "one-up," being in "meta-position," or being "in control." Hi, Would you explain the meaning of "meta-position" ? I searched that from the Internet, and Wikipedia indicates "meta" is a prefix which means "post", "ad"...

There's an artistry to choosing...

to not think about a black cat

lf I say "don't think about a black cat', you may find it difficult to not think about a black cat.

Hi,

I wonder whether the grammar of the words in bold is correct or not. I would say "not to think about a black cat".

Would anyone advise?

Thanks!

To jaw-jaw is always better than to war-war

Hi,

Would anyone explain what the meaning of the following quote by Churchill?

To jaw-jaw is always better than to war-war

I learnt "jaw-jaw" refers to "chat". Does it mean "it would be better to negotiate than go to war"?

Thanks!
