Suppose I meet my friend on one morning at 9 AM (during school time). Which sentence should I say to him? "My son does not go to school today" or "My son did not go to school today" If I meet him at 6 P.M, of course, I should use past tense (my son did not go to school today), but I meet him at 9 AM...

Present Tense or Past Tense

Suppose the school is still going on (10 AM). Should I say to someone "My son doesn't go to school today" or "My son didn't go to school today." The time of speaking is 10 AM.
