Last night, I went out with several friends to spend Christmas. Wow, first time that I actually went out on Christmas Eve because I heard that it was extremely crowded out on Christmas Eve. It seemed that we all wanted to experience the atmosphere.

We walked on South Street, East Street and finally West Street. Noisy and crowded yet happiness filled the air! We couldn’t help saying “China is indeed a populous country”. In many places, it was pretty hard to find a way to pass. There were just so many people, young couples, parents and kids, and students! Some wore masks, St Clause hats and wigs, some wore lovely decorations shining brightly, and some had them with many beautiful balloons.

Many snacks were served along the streets. And many people persuaded pass-bys to buy kinds of decorations. Interesting!! A rare chance to make “big” money! A lot of people played those games with surprises like lovely bears, kinds of dolls. Unexpected set off of fireworks often “frightened” people around. Everyone there was full of joy.

Hi all,

Glad to see some guys who want to improve thire English language like me, and nice to be as friends. I,m Anas, male from Saudi Arabia.

I have idea, and I need your opinion.

What do think if we make group such Yahoo group and contact by e-mail about English language generally and friendship especially. Also, I have many goals I'll inform you after I know your opinion.

yeah!I think it's good, but you need the other opinion or you have to make a great friendship with them :D :D :D :| . But there's no need to make a group in yahoo, you can "chat" online with some friend who can speak English in YM. I think it's a good idea to improve your English. :D :D :D :D .You can get your goals by that way.

Tomorrow is Tomb Sweeping Day, one of the few traditional Chinese holidays that follows the solar calendar.
Typically it falls on April 4, 5, or 6. Its Chinese name "Qing Ming" literally means "Clear Brightness.
Tomb Sweeping Day celebrates the rebirth of nature and the beginning of the planting season and other outdoor activities.

However, with the passing of time, this celebration became a day to the honour past ancestors.the Chinese believed that the spirits of deceased ancestors looked after the family. Sacrifices of food and spirit money could keep them happy, and the family would prosper through good harvests and more children.

Today, Chinese visit their family graves to tend to any underbrush that has grown. Weeds are pulled, and dirt swept away, and the family will set out offerings of food and spirit money.
