CHICAGO — A community group from the suburbs is helping Chicago students prepare to go back to school with supplies and it’s an effort that’s grown considerably in just the last year.

At Nicholson Stem Academy in Englewood, dozens of volunteers put together 1,200 backpacks filled with school supplies to give away to students.

This is the 4th year that the community service organization Who_is_Hussain has given away backpacks. This year, the organization nearly tripled the amount of Chicago Public School students being helped.

Hi dear old friend Behnam,

Sorry for being late in replying. Congratulations! you did a great job Dr.Behnam! I wish I can do it too.
as you know me more I will never lost the road, my searching reason is that I missed my friends and those days I used to practice English with you. I spent a very golden time of my life writing for my friends at previous thread and here. I am still in touch with some of them like Veronica and Elham. whenever I see a photo or hear any interesting things about them I Unconsciously just count the years that I know them, since for the first time among their posts on previous " Let's learn together!" beside good memories, as I started practicing English after many years again, I found that I owe you and "Let's learn together!" the majority of my active English knowledge. Thank you so much for keeping here still alive for people like me.
.
All the best,
Seti

About my trip to Karbala for Arbaeen walk , we are a group of 50 men and we will depart tomorrow .
I will pray for all of my friend when I see the holy shrine.

Hi Seti,

Thank you very much for your message. I wish you success in whatever you aim to do.

Last year, I decided to learn Russian, but I found it so difficult that I stopped. I wasn't successful in The Russian language. It wasn't easy. In other words, it wasn't my cup of tea.
These days, I am practicing French and Arabic. Arabic is simple but I am not good at it. My accent is not good in the Arabic language, because of my mother tongue;Azerbaijani  . You know the reason. However, in French I am number one. I love it very much and I am good at it.

Hello Behnam!

Russian language is not simple, that is true. Strange thing, if Russian language is complicated, Russian people should be fast learners, shouldn't they? But I doubt that it's true. Quite opposite, we Russian have serious problems with studying languages...

As to circus, no, I don't work anymore. I'm on pension now. No idea, is it bad or good for me, but now I get to be real all-time home sitter. Yet, I work as a freelancer

How are you? Can you already parler francais? I believe you can!

Hi Andrew,

Many thanks for your quick reply. Oui, je parle bien français et je l'aime beaucoup.
The Russian language was difficult to me, but for other people it is maybe an easy language. Russian has different alphabets with difficult pronunciations. I tried for one month, but I learned almost nothing. Finally, I got disappointed in myself. I switched from Russian into French and Arabic. It should be said that I was familiar with both of them. I used to go to French institute in Tehran for some terms, and at schools as a student, I have studied the Arabic language for many years.

Hope to hear more from you.

You can easily recognize me, since my Tasbih, shoes, trousers, shirt are all blue, like my font colour somehow.   My hat was also blue, but I lost it in Najaf; in the Imam Ali Holy Shrine, when I tried to kiss the shrine I got blocked among people and the hat got dropped over my head ... I bought a new one in Kufeh. This is black. The seller didn't have any blue hats

Who decides what's good for women ? you ? your government?

Hi,
To put it as simple as possible, our religion decides what is good for people; men and women, and what is bad for them.

Fairly speaking, there are billions of problems in the world which are much more important than having permission for some females to enter a football stadium or not, aren't there? The question is this: Why are news sources and media interested in such a minor and unimportant thing? This is really strange!

Looking at picutres of those female fans taken by reporters, I found many are very nice looking and even sexy, or more so than many Hollywood frontline stars, so they need to remove the scarf that covers their heads and faces, to expose them to the world.
You, willingly or unwillingly, have mentioned to a very important fact. Yes, they want to remove their scarfs and expose themselves to the world. This is true, sure, but it is only one face of the coin. If, for any reasons, some people decide to insult or offense them, who is going to rescue them from some possible abusiveness? Let's assume that they are satisfied with some immoral behavior, or they agree with being among those relatively impolite people, who is going to control the wildness and damage; broken chairs, broken bus windows, broken legs, hands and fingers etc. ?

Iran is an Islamic country, and the vast majority of people are practically Muslims. They love Islam and its rules. In Islam, it is forbidden for females to expose their sex-related things, as you have pointed it out, to the public.

Why is it forbidden? This is another story, we can discuss about this point, but not here. If you need more discussion about such matters, please visit "Let's learn together!" which is a long thread on this powerful site.

Anytime when you wnat to start a fight, take a picture out of your pocket or from your computer or mobile phone to see how beautiful theose girls are and you should have a date with them, then you can calm down and feel relaxed and look forward to another new day where you can enjoy with beautiful girls.
Dating with those beautiful girls and enjoying being with them results in what? Islam disagrees with such freedom and has its logical reasons. Having respect for marriage and valuing family establishment is only one of the several reasons. We can discuss on this topic more. Please visit "Let's Learn Together!". Thank you!

Hi,

You have added a sentence in my paragraph in the same blue colour!!! It confuses the readers. It is unfair and strange! Please write your opinion in different colour.

Your sentence seems beautiful to people. Well, it gives them freedom, and freedom is delightful. Unfortunately, human beings do not know and recognize what is bad and what is good. Why? Because, mankind is a creature. Someone else; whatever you call him/her[ Allah, God, Nature, etc.] has created human beings. The creator knows how this mechanism works. You may say: Well, human beings have brain. That is true. However, it works through trial and error. How many years will it take for human beings to experience every possible options to find out which one is correct? Billions years!
By the way, human beings have two sides; physical body and spiritual part. Right know, we are unaware of the functions of our spirits. Psychologists say contradictory things.

Democracy and voting for laws do not work. Choosing president Trump based on democracy and votes is an obvious example for its wrongness!
There are many things to say in this regard, but not here! Visit "Let's Learn Together!" please for more discussion. This post is my last post on this place.

All the best,

US embassy or Den of Spies

Post by Mohsen »

Iranians have held rallies in various cities to mark the 40th occupation anniversary of the former US embassy in Tehran, which gained notoriety as the "Den of Spies" after angry students occupied the compound and recovered thousands of documents proving Washington's espionage activities there.

center of espionage

Post by Mohsen »

On November 4, 1979, and in less than a year after the victory of the Islamic Revolution that toppled a US-backed monarchy, Iranian university students who called themselves “students following the line of (the late) Imam (Khomeini)” seized the US embassy in Tehran, which had become a center of espionage and planning to overthrow the newly established Islamic system in Iran.

Good Friday,
I decided to go mountain at early morning , but I changed my decision and went to bed , Yesterday I walked too much , and i felt it is better to go under the quilt.

Iranian working days are from Saturday to Thursday and Fridays are the National off days. On Thursdays, some companies are totally off and some are working only half day.
