Hi

First part:

Your sister is autistic. The doctor prescribed Risperdal.
There is not rispdal medicine. I found Risperdal.
http://www.drugs.com/risperdal.html
What is Risperdal?
Risperdal (risperidone) is an antipsychotic medicine. It works by changing the effects of chemicals in the brain.
Risperdal is used to treat schizophrenia and symptoms of bipolar disorder (manic depression). Risperdal is also used in autistic children to treat symptoms of irritability.

Also I found tha Risperdal has a lawsuit. Please see link

NOW, what is the best treatment for autistic kids?
Please see link: https://www.autismspeaks.org/what-autism/treatment
This a cut and paste from the link:
Early intensive behavioral intervention involves a child's entire family, working closely with a team of professionals. In some early intervention programs, therapists come into the home to deliver services. This can include parent training with the parent leading therapy sessions under the supervision of the therapist. Other programs deliver therapy in a specialized center, classroom or preschool. (Learn more about Early Intervention.)
Typically, different interventions and supports become appropriate as a child develops and acquires social and learning skills. As children with autism enter school, for example, they may benefit from targeted social skills training and specialized approaches to teaching.

Second part:

Here more information
See link: https://www.autismspeaks.org/blog/2012/ ... ed-parents

NOW. My own personal experience with autistic family. I have a nephew who is autistic and albino. People with albinism cannot see very well and their skin is very sensitive to the sun. He had a lot of behavioral problem at school when he was 4 to 5 years old. My brother asked me What he can do? Because the school didn't want his kid back. The school wanted to put him in special classes with mental disable kids. My nephew broke the teacher's forehead with a metal car and also kicked and hit her and others kids in the class room.
My nephew at that moment was 5 years old. What I told my brother?. You have to work in his behavior and tell him what he is doing is wrong. My brother answered: But he is so little. I told him: Yes, now is the moment to work on his behavior before is too late.
What my brother did? He worked with my nephew at home for a year. He taught him at home, color, letter, number etc. At the same time he worked in his kid behavior. One year later my brother went back to the school, but the principal still not wanted him back. My brother went to behavioral specialist. The doctor did an evaluation. He wrote that the kid was able to work with other and he won't harm no one. My brother drove to Dept. of Education and requested that the kid had the same the opportunity to assist regular classes like everybody else. He wish was granted.
The first day at school...
My brother after he spoke with the teacher. He told my nephew this: This is your teacher and you will do everything she tell you to do and I don't want to hear no even one complain from your teacher that you didn't behave. Do you understand me?. The boy said: Yes.
My nephew now is 12 years old. He is talking regular classes. He can not see very well because he is also albino, but with an special computer, he can takes regular classes. He computer is something like this one: http://www.nelowvision.com/resources/st ... resources/
My nephew computer is pointer to the blackboard. Then the image is send it to his computer. This help him to see what the teacher is writing on the blackboard.
He carries every day his backpack (with books and notebooks) and other backpack with the computer, also he has to set up the computer in each classroom. My brother and his wife work with my nephew everyday. He cannot see very well because he is also albino. Everyday his mother read everything to him (books and notebooks). My brother told me that my nephew has excellent memory and his teacher send him on from of the classroom to talk about the assignment. He does it without reading anything.

Let me tell you there are different levels of autism. I don't know your sister levels of autism. My girlfriend have twins in high school and they are autistics. They take regular classes and they play chess at school and national. Also autistic kids are small.

Here two real stories for you.
A biopic of Temple Grandin, an autistic woman who has become one of the top scientists in the humane livestock handling industry.

High School Senior with Autism Graduates with 4.0 GPA; Class Valedictorian
https://www.autismspeaks.org/blog/2014/ ... als-autism

What kind of medicine my nephew takes?
Since he was little maybe one year old. My brother didn't want that he takes any pharmaceutical medicine (because the side effect). My family and I believe in natural medicine. Then my brother refused to give him any pharmacal (medicine made by pharmaceutical). These are some of the natural medicines than my nephew has been taking since one year old. Liquid Health Attention For Children & Adults Fruit, Focusfactor dairy supplement, Neurocare, Neurovaliant, Neurobalance and other than my brother doesn't remember at this moment.

I am no saying that your sister can not takes pharmaceutical medicine. I am just saying that each family belief are different and each family have the right to choose what is better or what they think is better for them.

I don't know if this information could help you and your family

Hi

I made a writing mistake. Here
Let me tell you there are different levels of autism. I don't know your sister levels of autism. My girlfriend have twins in high school and they are autistics. They take regular classes and they play chess at school and national. Also autistic kids are smart.

I found a computer close to what my nephew has.
http://store.humanware.com/hus/smartvie ... fgodD2MNmQ

About the computer he started using the computer two years ago (2014). Why so late? Well, men doesn't like to talk about their problems. Every time I called my brother and I ask him: How is everything? He says: Fine. How is your kid? He says: Fine. One day I got tire to hear that everything was fine and I wanted to hear more than fine. Then I asked him How is your son doing at school? Does he has any problem? Then my brother told me about the problem with the teachers at school. My nephew is autistic and all the teachers know that. They don't treat my nephew different. They treat him like any other kid and my brother didn't have problem with that. The only problem was that my nephew couldn't see the blackboard and every time he walked to the blackboard to see what the teachers wrote. The teachers sent him back to his seat because he was blocking the board and the others kid couldn't see.
I told my brother about a law in US- No Child left behind Act-
See link
http://www.nytimes.com/2015/12/11/us/po ... .html?_r=0

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/No_Child_Left_Behind_Act

I told my brother that he needed to request a special computer for his kid. He said that he had a computer. The computer was a desktop computer and was at the school library and the only one who was using the computer was my nephew's teacher. Double WOW.
I told my brother that computer wasn't good for my nephew and he needs a different kid of computer to see what the teacher was writing, also the computer can record videos of the classes. I sent a few links to my brother with the computer that my nephew needed.

I told my brother go to the Dept. of Justice to talked with a lawyer about the law No Child Left Behind Act and file a complain to Dept. of Education.
My brother did it. He went to Dept. of Justice and spoke with his lawyer about what is going on with his kid and the law No child left behind Act. For my brother surprise, his lawyer knew about the law. He also told me that his wife complained a few times with the same lawyer about the kid situation at school. I said to my brother. What the hell? She knew (the lawyer) and all this year she never said nothing about it (the law) to you or your wife and she didn't do anything to help my nephew? What the hell? I told my brother. Tell the lawyer that he will sue the Dept of Education and Dept of Justice for all what is happening to my nephew because the Dept of Justice never did anything knowing the law.
As soon he told her about sue them a few months later the computer was given to my nephew. My brother never sue them. I think he didn't care about the sue. He only cares about his son.

Nothing is easy is this world, but with hard work everything can be achieved. {-;

I would really like to help you. We ourselves recently sent the child to primary school. Initially, he was not ready at all and we could not teach him anything, but then we came across the wunderkiddy website and helped us a lot to prepare our son for school. Try it, I'm sure it will help you too.
