Yes it is possible to get your accent closer, maybe even matching those of the people you are watching. However I think you would progress much faster by imitating as well as just listening. That way your brain gets used to making those noises.
Thank you for helping me analyse the situation. {-: I think I am almost at the level which you said...so your suggestions really remind me..
By the way, do you have any ideas about what kind of videos are better for me? TED talks, speeches or comedies?
Whatever you find interesting and is useful for you learning the language. E.g if you are learning it for business then things like TED talks, News, finance reports etc are great. If you want to get better with general socializing then maybe sitcom's and movies might help more with that sort of thing. With my language studies I try to keep it varied!
