Learner's Vocabulary Books: AmE Issue

Post by MrBerrin »

Hello!

As I'm going to take FCE, I'm working on increasing my vocabulary. And I found Vocabulary/Phrasal Verbs (and so on) in Use, Oxford Word Skills useful, but the problem is that those books are of British publishing houses, so are written in AmE. I'm used to AmE, and to check every single unknown word is time-consuming. It is required to stick to consistency and use one variety of the English language on the exam.
So is there a lot of BrE (I mean, first of all, words and expressions, not spelling) in the books? Do you know any analogous AmE books for learning vocabulary?

Thank you for your pieces of advice! =)
