hi,
I learned English more than 30 years ago. At that time, my teacherr was vietnamese. I tried my best to follow the way my teacher teaches pronounciation.
Recently, I realized that I have mispronounced a lot. And that is the biggest reason why I do not understand when listening to other people speak English. And Nobody understands me when I spoken English.
It's been hard for me to fix it. The wrong has been going with me for many years.
By the way, I really like American English. It's very modern to me.

Are you familiar with the International Phonetic Alphabet:

It accurately represents individual sounds.
After learning how to produce about 30 sounds, in your own style, you can string them together to produce words and phrases.
Might be able to read music? That notation may be used to accurately represents the "melody" of English
