Difficult, uncomfortable conversation

Post by ghellman »

Many exhort us to engage in difficult and uncomfortable conversations.
I invite those who would like to do so, to suggest appropriate topics and describe desirable outcomes.

Thanks

Thanks for your response.

I'd like to suggest that you consider informing me of your opinion of:
a) the greatest problem not solved by your teachers
b) the greatest opportunity not exploited by your teachers

I'd like to suggest that you consider communicating via email: *******.com.

Thanks

hi,
I learned English more than 30 years ago. At that time, my teacherr was vietnamese. I tried my best to follow the way my teacher teaches pronounciation.
Recently, I realized that I have mispronounced a lot. And that is the biggest reason why I do not understand when listening to other people speak English. And Nobody understands me when I spoken English.
It's been hard for me to fix it. The wrong has been going with me for many years.
By the way, I really like American English. It's very modern to me.
thank you for reading my text.
Please edit this text for me, thanks again.

Thanks for your response.

Even though your self-assessment of your pronunciation may be harsh, you write very well.

If appropriate, please send me an email: *******.com

Are you familiar with the International Phonetic Alphabet:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internati ... c_Alphabet

It accurately represents individual sounds.
After learning how to produce about 30 sounds, in your own style, you can string them together to produce words and phrases.
Might be able to read music? That notation may be used to accurately represents the "melody" of English
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_musical_symbols

Please email me, and I'll be pleased to serve as your coach.

Thanks
