Post by AzuraDilys »

Today, many people still use the old-fashioned, figurative, and poetic way of thinking when learning English. Using this way of thinking is more difficult than it was in the past. Because the written language has developed greatly over the centuries, you need to be able to read the words on the page (the language) and understand what is being said. In order to accomplish this, it is necessary to learn English in the right context. Today, many people who learn English learn from various resources such as tapes and CD's, videos, and online courses. When learning English from these sources, it is necessary to pay attention to the images and the audio that are presented in order to fully absorb the information being conveyed.

When learning English from television shows or videos, make use of the three-person perspective to easily spot the right words. Notice how some television programs focus on a single individual speaking the words while others have several individuals speaking at the same time. If you watch a program where a man is speaking to a group of people, it will likely have two individuals giving the speeches, while another person sits in the back of the class silently observing. These types of visual cues to help you spot the right words and understand them.

In addition to listening with your eyes and ears, it is important to listen with your mind. To learn English on the Radio you should listen to the program in its entirety. It may be beneficial to listen to the program several times until you fully understand the material. You can then make notes or ask questions to yourself in order to improve your learning efficiency. You should also try to repeat after the teacher as often as possible.
