I am prisoner number 786

Post by Shahid »

I am prisoner number seven eighty six
Look through the bars of the jail

I have seen changing days, months, and years
From the soil of this land, comes the fragrance of my father fields
This rain brings along with the swings of my seasons
This winter fills me with the warmth of the occasions

They say that this is no your land
Then why does it feel like mine?
He says that I do not like you
Then why he looks like me?

I see an angle who has comes down from heaven
She calls herself samiaya and she call me veer
She is a complete stranger but treat me as her own
Hearing her truthful words
I feel like living once more
Hearing her promises and vows
I feel like doing some thing more

They say that she is no one of us
Then why does she fight with the world for me?
He says that I am not like her
Then why does she look like me?

I am prisoner number seven eighty six
Look through the bars of the jail

I see my zara wrapped in the colours of my village
In making my dreams comes true
She has forgotten her own
In serving my people
She has left behind her own
Now I feel like filling her being with happiness
I feel like living another life time for her

They say that my country is not hears
Then why she stay in my home?

He says that I am not like her
Then why does she looks like me?

I am prisoner number seven eighty six
Look through the bars of the jail

I can't understand this poem well while feeling the sorrow of it deeply.

What's the meaning of number 786?

hi, Violet

This Poem Is belong to a Prisoner who belong to India
and was kept in pakistani jail for 20 years. In His Poem he is Describing his
feeling.

He is saying that pakistan & India is same he feel Pakistan as his on country we look same we talk same language then why we hate.

I see an angle who has comes down from heaven
She calls herself (samiaya) and she call me (veer)

Samiaya is her Lawyer name who is trying to give him freedom
Veer is his on name

I see my (zara) wrapped in the colours of my village

Zara is the name of a girl whom he Love.

And ur last Question What's the meaning of number 786?

In Jail each prisoner has his on number & they dont call them by their name they call by numbers
same like that his number is 786.
