Wherein the sun lay..

Post by nightwish »

Hello again!

this is my second poetry here, hope you like it!

Wherein the sun lay;
Beyond these fields of infinity,
Colors alter and never resume
murky and gloomy the night here
how could you dance under this filthy rain?

Instinctively walking toward you
You're still dancing, griped with woe
Your eyes tearing, shuddering this chill, melancholy air
Oh dear love,
How could these insensible hands feel you?

Larks flying above
Rising and rising,
Waiting just for you,
Fly, fly little love
To a place where no approach
Fly and rise my angel
Far beyond this immense silence

Spread your wings
Fly to the place where you belong
Look at the sparking sky
Heaven is waiting for you.

That's a great poem. I like everything sad and melancholy. :) ...Write more poems like that...:)

Tell me if I am wrong but I have always thought that poetry means rhyme. As a "poet" myself  I find this literary skill indispensable :!:

Sorry for contraddicting you Tora, but there are a lot of famous poets as well that does not use rhyme in their works...Just think that some poetries are made up of a couple of words only, but thy're however very expressive...By the way if yuo're a poet yuurself and you write verses in rhyme you're certainly very talented coz it requires a good attitude...

hello everybody

ok i appreciate your comments
thanks alot really.

Tora- I prefer to write or to style up my poetries without any rhythm. just let the words come out spontaneously, as your feelings. I don't choose the words, they choose themselves freely.

that's all.

Of course there are such authors, but I was born in a country where all my favourite poets use that old-fashioned style of rhyming, I'm sorry

There was I.Turgenev who was called "A poet in prose", but it slightly differs

but I respect your opinion and stand on my own
