HELP wanted

Post by Tora »

hello,
how's is better to explain the meaning of this sentence - it's understood but I need the proper explanation. will be much grateful:

What sort of a bamboozingly story is this you are telling me?

what are the roots of bamboozingly? I'm much interested as it's the first time I've came across such an expression

thanks in advance...

oh, it's from Herman Melville's Moby Dick, chapter 3 if I'm not mistaken

Tremendous! Already have added to Favourites! I'd rather prefer english-explanation in english dictionaries, but this one seems to have a wide range of vocabulary. Thank you once again!
